The Palm Student Council, also known as The Palmers’ Council, is dedicated to representing student interests, encouraging student involvement, and nurturing a welcoming and diverse campus community. We firmly believe that each student’s input is important to our university and are committed to offering a forum for students to express their thoughts, suggestions, and feedback. We collaborate closely with the University Leadership to ensure that student viewpoints are taken into account in the decision-making procedures.

Eugene Acheampong, President

Meet Eugene, our Student Council President.

Driven by a passion for growth, leadership, and cybersecurity, Computer Science student Eugene aims to make a significant impact in his field. Outside of his technical pursuits, he values relaxation through social media, series, and naps, recognizing the importance of rest for mental acuity. Grounded in faith and a solution-oriented mindset, Eugene readily embraces challenges, as evidenced by his role as Student Council President at Palm University, where he is dedicated to enhancing the student experience through collaboration and resourcefulness, ultimately striving to create a ripple effect of positive influence. A firm believer in tackling challenges head-on with faith and focus, Eugene is guided by Isaiah 41:10 as his inspiration.

Justice Ayamdoo, Vice President

As the forward-thinking Vice President of the Student Council and a Computer Science student, Justice Ayamdoo blends technical skills with a collaborative leadership style honed through the Aspire Leadership Program. Viewing leadership as an opportunity for service, his people-centered approach prioritizes listening, intentional action, and teamwork to foster meaningful change, particularly through leveraging digital tools to enhance student life. Balancing his council duties and tech interests with football, forex trading, worship music, and reflection, Justice is committed to amplifying student voices, encouraging collaboration, and cultivating an empowering campus culture rooted in clarity, consistency, and the belief that leadership is about enabling the success of others.

Ebenezer Otchere, Speaker, Student Parliament

Eben is a dedicated Business Administration student and the newly elected Speaker of the School Parliament, known for his calm leadership, strong sense of justice, and unwavering integrity. Committed to maintaining order, promoting inclusivity, and ensuring accountability, he envisions a Parliament that fosters unity, respectful dialogue, and meaningful progress across the student body and the University. Beyond procedural duties, he aims to cultivate a culture where every student’s voice is valued, enhance engagement and communication, and champion initiatives for academic achievement, well-being, and campus life, aspiring to leave a legacy of trust, empowerment, and progress through transparency, empathy, and resolve, ultimately building a proactive and principled Parliament guided by shared values for a dynamic and diverse University community in Ghana.

Justice Darkey, Deputy Speaker, Student Parliament

Justice is a proud sophomore studying Business Administration, deeply invested in management, instructional excellence, and moral governance. Currently serving as the Deputy Speaker of the Palm Student Parliament, he is committed to promoting transparency, accountability, and a vibrant student voice in all parliamentary activities, believing that strong leadership is built on listening, critical thinking, and integrity. Beyond his studies and leadership role, he dedicates time to mentoring fellow students, encouraging personal and professional growth. He strongly believes in leadership as service and is devoted to building a legacy of collaboration, innovation, and responsible citizenship at Palm University College. Aspiring to leverage his business training and leadership experiences for significant change both domestically and globally, he remains steadfast in his commitment to learning, growth, and impactful leadership.

Osama Dupe, Chair, Finance Committee

Osama, a dedicated and high-achieving Junior Business Administration student at Palm University College in Ghana, brings a results-oriented approach and demonstrated strong leadership as the former Financial Affairs Officer of the Students’ Council. Driven by a commitment to continuous growth, he is actively developing expertise in finance, accounting, leadership, e-commerce, and project management. Deeply passionate about youth empowerment and positive community impact, Osama leverages his strong teamwork, communication, financial management, and digital literacy skills to focus on promoting financial literacy among students, fostering accountability, and ensuring the efficient use of resources to support student initiatives and enhance the overall university experience in Ghana.

Naomi Akos Mensah, Finance Resource Officer

Naomi Akosua Mensah, a driven Business Information Technology student, is passionately building a foundation in computer networking while also exploring cybersecurity, fueled by a desire to address the needs of her community. Creatively blending her technical studies with design, which she sees as a powerful form of expression, Naomi seeks balance and inspiration in her daily routine. Guided by a personal calling to make an impact and anchored in her faith, she is committed this year to grounding herself in networking and remaining open to new IT paths, charting a course driven by purpose and passion for both success and significance at Palm University College in Ghana.

David Kwesi Mawuenya Asuhene. Finance Secretary

David, a freshman Business Information Technology student at Palm University College, harbors a strong aspiration to simplify financial literacy for his community, envisioning it as a universally accessible tool for empowerment within Ghana. He intends to strategically combine his budding academic knowledge in IT with core principles of financial stewardship to proactively educate and meaningfully serve those around him, driven by a firm belief in the continuous and immediate nature of learning. Outside of his academic pursuits and aspirations in financial education, David finds enjoyment and balance through playing basketball and expressing his creativity through drumming, showcasing a well-rounded approach to his personal development.

Rurh Asiedua Nyarkoh, Communications Officer

Currently a junior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology, Ruth leverages her technical expertise and strategic insight as the Communications Officer. Applying prior experience in strategic messaging, digital communication management, and audience engagement, she works to foster open communication channels, encourage student participation in council events, and maintain accessible and well-publicized council operations. Her dedication lies in enhancing transparency, promoting council initiatives, and ensuring the effective representation of student perspectives, ultimately aiming to create a dynamic and inclusive platform where every student feels represented and informed within the Ghanaian university context.
