Brightmore Ofori Quansah, Class of 2025

Enrolling at Palm University College was the smartest decision I made for my tertiary education. I am so grateful for the internship opportunities that are available to students at Palm. Recently, the Student Life and Career Services Department helped me secure an internship position at Axon Information Systems, a leading software company in Ghana. As someone who aspires to become a software developer, this has been an amazing opportunity for me. Little did I know that this experience would have such a profound impact on both my personal and professional growth.

From day one, I have been given meaningful responsibilities, enabling me to apply what I have learned in the lecture halls to real-world and industry scenarios. As a BSc. Business Information Technology student, the hands-on experience I have acquired so far at Axon has been invaluable. It has given me insights into the complexities of software development and project management.

Moreover, at Axon, I have been encouraged to think critically, challenge assumptions, and explore innovative solutions to complex problems; qualities that I acquired during the career seminars on campus and the Palm GreenLab Hackathon Series. The supportive environment at Axon has allowed me to stretch my limits, discover my strengths, and develop my confidence.

As an intern, I have been fortunate to work under the guidance of a seasoned supervisor who has been instrumental in shaping my professional growth. His feedback and wisdom have been invaluable in helping me navigate the complex landscape of the industry. One of the most significant aspects of my internship experience has been the weekly presentations I have to give to showcase my progress as an intern. This has been a challenging but rewarding experience that has helped me build my public speaking skills while pushing me to learn more.

Overall, my internship experience has been a transformative journey that has not only improved my technical skills but also instilled in me a sense of confidence and resilience. I am grateful for the opportunity given to me by Palm University, the connections I have made and the lessons I have learned. I am excited to contribute to the ever-evolving world of software development and use my skills to help solve societal problems.
