Victoria Lugunia Kapuri, Class of 2026

Growing up in Paga as a student, I never had the chance to use a computer. Though we were taught Information Technology, it was only theoretical.
Our teachers did not have the necessary materials for teaching and learning. We created electronic folders by writing the steps and drew the interfaces in our books. We only regurgitated the information passed on to us by our teachers.

But now as a student, I have the opportunity to study Information Technology in a practical manner. I have had practical knowledge on how to code, use Microsoft Word, Excel etc. Though I’m just in my second semester of my freshman year, I can boldly say I’m IT literate because of the many things I can do with the computer.

Although I don’t own a computer now, I have access to a computer anytime at the Computer Lab. I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful experience. With my status as a student, I am confident of a better future. Thank you to the Palm University Foundation for this opportunity.
