The BSc. in Business Information Technology program was carefully and strategically designed to curb the cumulative needs of local and international organizations. One of the major objectives of the program is to respond to industry and market requirements by giving more significance to practical hands-on considerations. The program was designed over three years with relevant industry consultations to ensure we meet the demands and expectations of the industry.

Uniqueness

The program unifies the Information Technology essentials of databases, networking, programming, human-computer interaction, and Web systems. It introduces and covers technologies such as mobile applications, non-relational databases, etc. Students are taught to develop a solid comprehension of the underlying models, concepts, and practical hands-on applications. Our students are encouraged to work in teams applying what they learn in class by solving real-life and corporate computing and information technology problems and honing their critical thinking skills.

The hands-on nature of the program ensures that students participate in corporate and professional development-related activities and experiences beginning from their Freshman and Sophomore years through to the time they graduate from, Palm.

Significant Emphasis

Each student is educated to acquire the following distinct skills and competencies in problem-solving and analysis, modern and standardized documentation, configuration, hardware engineering, input/output process, implementation, integration, software design, determining system architecture, monitoring, systems administration, software development, technical support, troubleshooting, defining systems requirements, effective communications and network administration.
