The aim of the Diploma in Business Information Technology program is to produce graduates who are endowed with technical, analytical, entrepreneurial, and leadership skills to propose, develop and apply critical computing solutions to support a range of business needs as well as identify business opportunities in the Information Technology industry to establish their businesses.

Objectives

The objectives of the Diploma in Business Information Technology program are to
train and produce graduates who are:

  4. are endowed with the technical skills to build applications for the Internet; use industry-wide commercial software; develop solutions to business problems; learn how to use IT tools and techniques; model different business situations; apply modern design and analysis principles.
  5. equipped with skills and knowledge of the current trends in IT solutions for business such as mobile application solutions and business intelligence systems.
  6. can work collaboratively with a team, to integrate new technologies in the workplace and community and ensure a superior and productive experience for the user and all the organization’s functions.
Background Information:

The aim of the Diploma in Business Administration program is designed to produce graduates equipped with management principles and skills to enable them to work in the private and public sectors of the economy.

Objectives:

Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:

  1. acquire managerial skills to handle and adapt to major changes in business tasks in the 21st century.
  2. use the knowledge and skills they have acquired to create entrepreneurial businesses that solve national problems and employ others.
  3. analyze business problems and solve them using the technology, finance, accounting, managerial and entrepreneurial skills they have acquired.
  4. possess an enquiring mind ready to engage with emerging real-world problems and pursuit of further knowledge and education.
  5. go on to acquire higher qualifications with Professional bodies such as the Institute of Human Resource Management, Procurement and Supply Chain, Institute of Chartered Accountants, and Chartered Institute of Marketing.
