My journey to Palm

After graduating from high school in 2020, I was unsure about how to navigate my into the future. My family couldn’t provide the needed financial support for further education. I therefore started searched for scholarships and other opportunities to further my education. The experience was like finding a needle in a haystack. However, fate smiled on me when I secured a 100% tuition scholarship through the David Okai Okantey Foundation to pursue a degree in BSc. Business Information Technology at Palm University. That moment changed my life forever. I remember being invited to attend an admission and scholarship potential recipient interview on campus and working my way through the admission process with all the help I needed from Palm University faculty and staff.

Stepping onto the Palm University campus as a freshman, was an exciting period for me. I remember feeling both nervous and excited as I walked through the gates and onto the grounds of my new academic home. Looking back now, it’s hard to believe how much this place has become a part of me. Palm University has been more than just a university for me, it’s been a second home, a place where I’ve made lifelong friends and developed unforgettable memories. This university has shaped me into the person I am today, and for that, I will always be grateful.

Through being mentored and mentoring others, I realized the importance of guidance and support which sparked within me a passion for leadership. Beyond the classroom, these experiences have helped me grow personally and professionally, and I am grateful for the opportunities that have allowed me to develop into the person I am today.
