Dr. Peter Carlos Okantey, President

Peter holds a Doctorate Degree and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Strategic Leadership from Regent University’s School of Business and Leadership, Virginia, USA. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Management and Organizational Leadership and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration both from Warner Pacific University.

He also holds a teaching certificate from the Presbyterian College of Education in Ghana, and a Diploma in Public Administration from the University of Ghana Business School. He is the founder and president of the Palm University Foundation. He has over eighteen (18) years of professional work experience including, founding and managing a consulting business and non-profit organization, working within the private and non-profit sector in leadership positions in Ghana and the United States.

He taught for three years at Portland State University School of Business in Portland, Oregon in the United States. He served as director and full-time faculty at the William Ofori-Atta Institute of Integrity at Central University College, Miotso, Ghana. Peter is the founder and president of the Palm University College and Palm University Foundation.

Mr. Reginald Mills-Owoo, Ag. Director of Finance

Reggie is a Chartered Accountant (ACCA) cum Fellow Master Project Manager (International Charter Certification), with over twelve years of industry practice and a demonstrable work history of successfully managing donor funded projects. He has proven sound decision-making skills borne of intense analysis, business acuity and big picture vision. Also, he is acknowledged by clients, peers, and management for willingness to consider all options and strike appropriate solutions. He has an unswerving commitment to service excellence and intense personal interest in helping businesses and clients flourish.

Reggie’s was educated in both Ghana and the USA. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Wilmington University and an MSc in Professional Accountancy from the University of London. Reggie is an Adjunct Lecturer and also doubles as the Director of Finance of Palm University College. He has a passion for lecturing and teaches courses such as Accounting & Finance, Business Math, Business Statistics, Financial Analysis and Spread Sheet Accounting. Reggie is also the Head of Finance of an International NGO and has an exceptional ability at modifying complex technical information for multiple audiences.

Mrs. Beth Okantey, Director, International Programs

Beth holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Pacific Lutheran University (1996) and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Walla Walla University (2001). She was awarded the Graduate Dean’s Scholastic Achievement Award upon graduation from her MSW. Beth has been working in the area of social work for more than 24 years. She spent 12 years working in social work in the United States. She worked with homeless adults assisting in an employment program and with chronically mentally ill adults living semi-independently. She also spent 6.5 years working in the area of child welfare including helping to implement a parent mentoring program and drug court program, as well as, spending 1.5 years in London, England working as a child welfare and foster parent supervisor.

Additionally, Beth spent three years providing counseling for low income pregnant women and helping to implement a grassroots community development project to decrease chronic disease. Beth has also worked internationally for 12.5 years. This experience began when she studied abroad in Jamaica working at a local YMCA. She then had the opportunity to become a US Peace Corps Volunteer in Malawi, S. Africa for 2.5 years providing health education focusing on disease prevention.

Beth has spent a year in Ghana, West Africa as a US Peace Corps Response Volunteer helping to implement an HIV/AIDS education program in a local teacher training college. Additionally, she spent the last seven years in Ghana, developing and coordinating a program for social work students to complete their field practicum in various organizations in Ghana. She has supervised 76 students from 17 US universities so far.

In addition, Beth has been teaching at the university level since 2010; both in the classroom and online. Currently, she teaches BSW and MSW courses on-line through Ashford University, Palm University College, Portland State University, University of Alabama and the University of Nevada at Reno.
