Gloria Nartey | Class of 2027
A freshman studying BSc in Business Information Technology. I hail from Kordiabe (10 minutes from campus) in the eastern part of the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. My introduction to Palm University came through advertisements, and I am eager to embrace the core values of the university, particularly in cultivating ethical leadership and acquiring a robust foundation in my field of study to excel in my future career. Entrepreneurship holds a special place in my heart, and I believe the Palm Green Lab will give me valuable experiences in launching, sustaining, and expanding my business ventures. One aspect I appreciate about the culture at Palm University is the dedication of the lecturers who take the time to impart knowledge. The serene environment of the university is also something I cherish. The transition from high school to university presented its challenges, but with the guidance and advice from my peer mentor, Ruth Asiedua, a sophomore, everything is progressing smoothly.
While I haven't joined any campus clubs/groups yet, I aspire to be a part of the media team, driven by my keen interest in learning about photography. I am passionate about sports and can't wait to actively participate in the school's sporting activities. The Bridge Program at Palm has been immensely helpful because I needed that refresher program to help me transition into university with my writing, mathematics, and computer skills. I encourage the University to continue with such programs, because they play a crucial role in boosting confidence and fostering intellectual growth for students at all levels.
