Math Center
The Palm Math Center is designed to help all students learn and use mathematics and arithmetical skills to enhance their success at Palm; especially if they are having challenges in studying math. Most students struggle with working with figures, our Math Center helps to reduce this phobia towards arithmetic to make our students conversant with the subject. The Center establishes and maintains a caring, supportive, and encouraging academic presence to the University Community in the area of mathematics. Students who attend math center as required have a significantly larger chance to pass the core math courses successfully.
Our Services
Some of our numerous services include:
- Tutoring for any Palm student in need of assistance with mathematics. Tutors and faculty provide detailed, one-on-one assistance in the areas of: Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus-I, and Calculus-II
- Math workshops and study skills/strategy/plan workshop
- An available mathematics instructor who can assist you with questions.
- Mathematics books, calculators, graph paper, rulers, etc.
Tips for Students
- Don’t wait! Visit the Math Center as soon as you need help! You will get help at any time when the Math Center is open.
- Prepare yourself by attending classes, reviewing notes learn by practicing using all the resources available to you.
- Bring notes, calculators, and any other materials needed to Math Center.
Booking of Appointments and Cancellation
All students are encouraged to book an appointment with a tutor(s) before visiting the Center. Students with prior appointments will be attended to first. Students can book appointments to see a tutor(s) at: mathcenter@palm.edu.gh. Students can however walk-in anytime they need help.

Why Visit the Math Center?
Every student is encouraged to visit the Math Center regular during their time at Palm because every new topic in mathematics builds upon previous concepts, hence visiting the Center regular and spending time with Tutors will help students keep up with the quest to excel in the subject. If you spend a few minutes pursuing answers to math problems, you can save hours of time and frustration and be more effective in mathematics. Most students meet their friends at the center to study and prepare adequately for exams.
