University-College Council

By charter, Palm is governed by a Council – the University Council. The University Council comprises elected members who serve as Council members. Members are elected by current and active council members for two-year renewable terms. Considering the wide range of experience and expertise of its members, the Council exercises influence over the University’s strategic directions. It provides counsel to the University Leadership on significant issues, plans and its strategic direction. The Council’s foremost functions include fundraising, periodic review of the quality and direction of the University’s departments, programs and activities. The Council carries out this responsibility through its committees, whose work is superintended by and reported to the Council. The President of Palm University College is accountable to the Council.

Board of Trustees – Foundation

The Founder and President of Palm works with the Board of Trustees of Palm University Foundation to realize the University’s strategic vision. The Board comprises 14 elected members from very diverse backgrounds who work diligently to raise funds for students’ scholarships, operations, and capital projects of the University. Members of the Board are elected by the current and active board after careful screening and interview for two-year renewable terms. The Board exerts broad influence over the University’s strategic directions by providing counsel to the University leadership on its plans and strategic direction. The Board’s chief functions include fundraising, regular review of the direction of the University in relation to its founding mission and vision. The President of Palm University College is accountable to the Board.
